Anthony Flores, more commonly known as Salt Cedar, is my best friend, bandmate, and the mind behind a compelling solo project. His music differs greatly from my usual focus on metal, living instead in the world of bluegrass and folk. Working with him has pushed me to expand my production approach, challenging me to think in new ways and ultimately strengthening both of our creative processes.

Our workflow is fairly unique: he’ll bring me a riff or chord progression rooted in folk traditions, and by applying my background in metal production and arrangement, we shape the song into something that breathes and tenderly communicates emotion.
